Marius R. Perron, The Margarita Man's grandfather, established The Panama Vinegar and Cider Company in San Antonio back in 1899. He bottled soda-water in a variety of flavors, vinegars, cider and also bluing used by the homemaker in those days to whiten clothes. He was a stickler for quality in everything he sold.
Nearly a century later his grandson Laurent Perron started developing a more natural tasting line of bar mixes. Natural, because he vowed to use natural flavors, when available, and real fruit purees, and in the tradition of his grandfather, to always insist on quality. In 1986 his Margarita Man line of mixes were introduced at the annual Southwest Foodservice Expo.

In addition to manufacturing the best mixes around, The Margarita Man has been in the margarita machine rentals business since the beginning in 1984. In fact, in the beginning, our name was Margarita Machine Rentals. We blazed the trail in the machine rentals business. We now have a network of over 90 independent Margarita Man margarita machine rental companies across America which includes Atlanta.
Our Story: Mark & Jill Smith had a dream. A dream of becoming entreprenuers and parents. Mark, an avid Jimmy Buffett Parrothead (and yes, Jill is now after years of being forced to listen) looked into several franchsies but never found a fit for them. That is, not until the Atlanta Margarita Man came into their view. Mark and Jill actually looked into the opportunity in 2005 but never pursued it until 2007 because of the adoption of their son Cameron that same year. Then, they adopted another child, Chloe-Kate in 2006 which forced Jill to be a stay at home mom. That's when they spoke with Mark's mother, Pat, about the opportunity. The three of them teamed up to form the BEST Margarita Machine Rental company in Atlanta serving up the best Margaritas found in the southeast. And the rest, as they say is history.
